Our client’s existing suite and installation was carried out to a high standard, providing almost 25years of value for money so it was important for that benchmark to be maintained.
Equal to this was their desire to select a principal brand and where possible keep to this for as many aspects of the design as possible. Roca was selected for their wide product offering and in particular their extensive range of matt white furniture finishes which our client desired.
The existing WC was a standard close-coupled arrangement and so we suggested the formation of bulkhead spanning the width of the room to allow for a concealed cistern and more streamlined back-to-wall WC. Aspiring zero flex with the shower base, we installed a Laufen Pro solid stone (called Marbond) base with anti-slip coating and a suitable glass shower panel and deflector panel.
The tiling was central to the design and contrary to popular uncertainty, it’s extra large format of 1200 x 900mm really set the room off.
